Civil Engineering Superintendent
Job Description
The primary purpose of the Civil Engineering Superintendent is to manage the activities required for the development of the surface infrastructures of the MCB Project.
The role includes involvement in the development of studies, plans, schedules, methodologies, cost estimates, and work packages.
Specifically, he/she shall be responsible for the following:

- Manage the development of studies, design, plans, schedules and cost estimates of civil works and infrastructures for the MCB Project, ensuring compliance to applicable national/international standards (i.e.,building code, ISO, etc.), system, practices, and relevant environmental and social regulations.
- Assist in the formulation of work packages for the Early Works and Social Development Management Program (SDMP).
- Oversee and monitor contractors involved in the designated areas of work and disciplines, ensuring that deliverables are achieved in accordance with the approved timeframes and scopes of work- in a safe, environmentally sound, and cost-effective manner.
- Oversee the implementation of the early works and main construction of the assigned areas or work packages.
- Oversee the implementation of the major infrastructure development under the approved Community Development Program (CDP) and/or the SDMP.
- Assist in developing and maintaining the overall project schedule foreseeing typical ricks, challenges, schedule adjustments, and impacts on project costs recommending solutions to overcome potential problem areas.
- Assist Supervisors/Junior Engineers in monitoring cost and timely delivery of ongoing projects.
- Assist the Department Manager in the formulation of budgets for the fiscal year or as needed.
- Provide regular reports in the development of statutory reporting and compliance documents as well as in obtaining necessary government approvals.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Civil Engineer
- At least 7 years of experience in development/construction of mine infrastructure and process plant and/or
- At least 7 years of construction experience in various capacities and industries including mass housing, heavy civil construction, and underground works.
- Advanced skills and knowledge of Project Management and Project Scheduling
- Sound knowledge in construction survey works.
- Can operate AutoCAD, Civid3D, Primavera/MS Project
- Can supervise multi-discipline works packages or programs
- Competent in cost estimating and quality management.
